A comprehensive guide to the price of industrial centrifugal fan and the factors affecting its purchase
Air conditioning and air suction systems are considered to be the most vital elements of every factory, workshop and production environment. In the meantime, centrifugal fans or spiral ventilators play an essential role in moving a large volume of air, particles, gases and heat. Industrial owners, project managers and employers are always looking for an accurate estimate of the costs of setting up their production lines, and for this reason, knowing the price of an industrial centrifugal fan has become one of their main priorities. The industrial equipment market is facing many fluctuations and many technical variables affect the final cost of the device. As a result, checking the parameters affecting the price of industrial centrifugal fan and knowing a reliable manufacturer such as Faraz Shiraz Industrial Complex of ventilation fan will help you to experience a safe, standard and affordable purchase.
What is an industrial centrifugal fan and why is it widely used?
Industrial centrifugal fan, which is commonly known as exhaust fan or centrifugal fan, is a mechanical device that uses centrifugal force to suck air or gas fluid from the center of the inlet and direct it towards the outlet at a ninety degree angle with a higher pressure. These devices are designed to overcome pressure drops caused by long ducting, elbows, filters and industrial hoods. Due to the high ability to produce static and dynamic pressure, the use of these systems in acidic, dusty, hot and sanitary environments is irreplaceable. When choosing this equipment, paying attention to the dimensions of the channel and the needs of the project directly affects the price of the industrial centrifugal fan and determines what category of motor power and what type of propeller should be chosen.
Key and technical factors determining the price of industrial centrifugal fan
The price of an industrial centrifugal fan is not a fixed and predetermined number for all applications, but it is a function of a wide set of technical specifications, structural material and climatic conditions of the installation site. Knowing these parameters will give you a more open view when comparing pre-factors and asking manufacturers.
1. Propeller type and aerodynamic design (Forward, Backward, Radial)
The type of impeller or impeller in centrifugal fans determines the aeration behavior and energy efficiency of the device:
Forward curved propellers are usually used in medium pressures with high flow rates and due to their simpler structure, they sometimes have a cheaper initial price, but they offer lower energy efficiency than other models.
Backward curved propellers have much higher efficiency and prevent overloading of the engine. The engineering cost and more accurate balance of these propellers make the price of the industrial centrifugal fan with a backward propeller slightly higher, but this price difference is fully compensated by the optimal electricity consumption in the long term.
Radial impellers are designed to transport heavy particles, abrasive materials, wood shavings or thick dust. The higher thickness of the blades to resist wear increases the weight of the device and consequently the noticeable change in the price of the radial industrial centrifugal fan compared to the usual clean air discharge models. Faraz Shiraz Fan Industrial Group produces all these types of propellers according to the required working pressure by using the precise dynamic balance equipment.
2. Aeration capacity (CFM or m³/h) and static pressure (Pascal)
The most important identifier in ventilation calculations is the displacement volume of air in cubic feet per minute (CFM) or cubic meters per hour and the amount of static pressure that the fan must overcome. The longer the volume of channeling, the more branches and the higher the resistance of the filters, the need for a device with larger helix dimensions and a wider impeller. With the increase in the physical size of the screw and impeller, the consumption of steel material increases exponentially and significantly affects the price of the industrial centrifugal fan.
3. Body material, propeller and protective covers
The operating environment of the equipment is not always clean air. In the petrochemical, pharmaceutical, electroplating and laboratory industries, the presence of acid gases and high humidity requires the use of specialized materials:
Normal carbon and galvanized steel sheets are suitable for general ventilation, simple workshops and sheds and have the least price fluctuation.
Stainless steel (such as 304 and 316 steel) offers unparalleled resistance to corrosion, corrosive gases, and high heat. Due to the high cost of steel alloys, the price of steel industrial centrifugal fan will be several times higher than galvanized models.
Epoxy coatings and furnace electrostatic powder paints are also used as a standard protective barrier against oxidation, which, depending on the micron thickness of the coating, affects the final quality and price of the industrial centrifugal fan. The specialists of Faraz Shiraz ventilation fan prevent the imposition of heavy and early costs of replacing parts by intelligently choosing materials that are compatible with your environment.
4. Power, brand and speed of electric motor (RPM)
The engine is the beating heart of every fan. The nominal power of the electric motor in kilowatts or horsepower, the type of winding (pure copper or alloy), the thermal insulation class and the protection factor (such as dust and water standards) form a major part of the total price.
Prominent electric motor brands such as Motogen Tabriz, Electrogen and reputable European or Chinese brands each have a different price category. Choosing an electric motor with standard power and torque makes it durable in 24-hour and continuous use, and as a result, it causes a relative increase in the price of an industrial centrifugal fan with a first-class motor. Also, for explosion-sensitive environments in the oil and gas industries, the use of explosion-proof motors (Explosion Proof or EX) is required, which significantly increases the price of explosion-proof industrial centrifugal fans.
5. Power transmission mechanism (direct coupling or poly belt)
There are two main ways to connect the motor shaft to the propeller:
In the Direct Drive method, the propeller is mounted directly on the motor shaft. It is easier to maintain, has fewer mechanical parts and is absolutely ideal for low temperatures. The cost of side parts is lower in this method, and in most low and medium capacities, the price of direct coupling industrial centrifugal fan is more suitable.
In the Belt Drive method, power transmission is done by means of a belt and a pulley, which enables precise adjustment of the propeller speed, operation at high temperatures, and transfer of hot particles without damage to the electric motor. The addition of parts such as industrial bearings, grease-absorbing bearings, belt housing (belt guard) and auxiliary shaft increases the price of the belt industrial centrifugal fan, but gives the system a much wider technical flexibility.
6. Control systems, shock absorbers and accessories
Types of industrial centrifugal fans and comparing their performance and cost
Knowing the types of fans allows facility managers to provide exactly the device suitable for their process conditions without paying additional costs:
Utility or functional fan: It is the most suitable option for ventilation and suction in large office spaces, hospitals and the roof of sheds. High efficiency and compact dimensions have created a favorable balance between efficiency and price of utility industrial centrifugal fan.
High Pressure Centrifugal Fan: These fans are designed for processes that require overcoming very heavy resistances, such as large industrial burners, melting furnaces and combustion air blowing systems. Due to the high working pressure and the thickness of the chamber sheets, the price of the high pressure industrial centrifugal fan is placed in the higher categories of centrifugal equipment.
Radial centrifugal fan for material transfer: in the lines of cement factories, grain mills and wood industries, this type of propeller moves heavy particles without damaging the fan structure. The price of an industrial centrifugal fan for material transfer is usually affected by anti-wear alloys and mechanical reinforcements of the propeller structure.
Double suction fan (Double Inlet): It is used to move a large volume of air with a limited physical space. The presence of two suction openings creates a more complex design and puts the price of the double suction industrial centrifugal fan at a different level from single inlet models.
The importance of accurate engineering calculations in budget management and industrial centrifugal fan price
One of the most common mistakes in buying suction fans is choosing the wrong size (oversizing or undersizing). When a fan with a much larger size is selected without making accurate calculations of the channel pressure drop, in addition to paying the higher price of the industrial centrifugal fan at the time of purchase, the monthly electricity consumption will increase dramatically and produce annoying noise.
On the other hand, the technical choice with a capacity lower than the standard means consecutive burning of the engine, accumulation of harmful gases and insufficient ventilation of the hall, which forces the employer to replace the entire system early. Experienced engineers at Faraz Shiraz Ventilation Fan Company, by performing accurate calculations of fluid dynamics and data analysis of production lines, offer an option that exactly matches your real needs, in order to avoid the waste of money and the negative impact of the wrong choice on the price of industrial centrifugal fans.
Why does buying directly from the manufacturer make the price of the industrial centrifugal fan more economical?
Purchasing industrial equipment from middlemen, miscellaneous sales agents and market dealers is always accompanied by an increase in false profit margins and excess costs. In addition, in case of technical problems, intermediaries are usually not responsible for warranty and after-sales service.
Direct communication with a specialized factory such as Faraz Shiraz ventilation fan brings many advantages for buyers. By eliminating middlemen, the price of the industrial centrifugal fan is as low as possible, and the buyer is assured that he has received a product with original material, standard thick sheets and technical certificate. Also, it is possible to customize the angle of rotation of the spiral, the position of the air outlet and the type of insulators only in the conditions of direct purchase from the manufacturer.
The role of warranty and static and dynamic balance in the real value of the device
The real value of a device is beyond the figure that can be seen in the pre-invoice. A cheap centrifugal fan that does not have accurate dynamic balance will suffer damage to the bearings, premature wear of the belts, and eventually break the impeller after several months of continuous operation.
In the Faraz Shiraz ventilation fan industrial complex, all fans are dynamically balanced according to international standards (such as ISO 1940) by modern propeller balance devices. This process causes silent operation, reduces vibration and maximizes the life of the bearings and the engine. As a result, although quality, engineered units may at first glance look little different from substandard workshop products, consistent performance and valid warranty coverage prove that paying the best price for an industrial centrifugal fan with guaranteed service is a profitable investment for the production line.

Comparison of buying a new centrifugal fan versus a used one (second hand)
Many buyers go to buy used centrifugal fans with the aim of reducing costs. Although the price of a stock industrial centrifugal fan may seem lower at first, it carries several technical risks. The hidden rotting of the spiral plate, the durability of the propeller due to previous work accidents, metal fatigue and the possible burning of the motor winding are among the problems that cannot be detected in the initial tests. The cost of continuous repairs and downtime of the production line due to the failure of this equipment will be much heavier than the initial savings. Obtaining a new and customized device from a reliable factory such as Faraz Shiraz ventilation fan guarantees you complete peace of mind regarding the quality of parts and continuity of performance.
Final summary regarding the price of industrial centrifugal fan
The cost and price of an industrial centrifugal fan depends on a coordinated set of mechanical engineering, aerodynamic knowledge, consumables and the brand of driving equipment.
